He accelerated the car to full speed. Everything was a
blur. He was moving too fast, way too fast and there was no stopping now. He couldn't see anything. All he had on his mind was her and he couldn't get her
out of it. Even at this speed, he felt motionless.
He didn't know what to do. He just kept thinking about her, couldn't get her out of his mind.
And then he hit the brakes.
A screeching sound frightened his ears and his heartbeat
lept at double speed.
His blood pressure was rising, his nerves were racking and
his eyes, they were an out of focus blur and before he knew it, his cheeks felt
wet.
His hands were trembling, his hopes crashing and all he
could think about was her.
..And then he heard a scream, her scream. Where was she?
Was she near him? Why did she scream?
He didn't know what was happening but sweat mixed with tears trickled down his petty face.
This was it. Now or never.
But what will he do? Where will he go? What will happen
now?
Another scream. This one, louder and more piercing.
This was real. She was here. Or was she? Was it really
real? What was happening?
And then he heard another scream. But this time it was not
her. It was him.
This was it. He couldn't take it anymore. He had to find
her. He had to reach her. But where will she be? Would she be near him?
And after what happened, would she want to see him? Would
she accept him after all that? Would she.. forgive him?
No, she had way too much pride to do that. No.
But then how will he find her? How will he get to her? How
will he save her if she doesn't want to be saved?
Then what? What would happen then?
Another scream. This one, the loudest.
He gasped. Where is she? Where is she? He needed to reach
her!
Panic struck his head. He had to do something and he had to
do something fast. But..! He had never been more scared in his entire life.
With trembling feet, he stepped out of the terrified car.
It was dark. How could it have become this dark in a few minutes? What time was
it? No, it didn't matter. He had to find
her. He had to.. save her.
But how? What will he do?
And then he heard it. The last scream. Her last scream. And
then a gunshot. There were two bullets. No, three. No, there were two bullets.
And two bullets pierced her? Or did they?
What was happening?
He couldn't decide what to do. He didn't know what to do
yet he ran. He ran as fast as he could. He ran to where those terrifying sounds
of the gunshot came from and he ran hard.
But.. where was she? Had she already left him? What will
happen now?
He ran. Faster. Faster than ever.
And then, he saw him.
His brother.
What was he doing here? Why was he here? And where was she?
Why did he have a gun in his hand? What was happening?
And then.. He understood.
And he saw her, covered with blood. She was lying there. So
motionless. So serene. So beautiful. Even lying over there, she looked so
graceful, so mesmerizing.
No! What was he thinking? She could be dead by now. He had
to do something. He had to save her.
And then a dreadful thought reached him.
But.
No.
She couldn't leave. She couldn't leave him alone. No.
And he panicked. He ran. Towards her. Towards his life.
But before he could reach her, before he could reach his
life, he heard a gunshot. There were three bullets. No, two. No, there were
three bullets. And three bullets pierced him.
And he fell.
And he heard it. For the very last time. The last scream.
His last scream. And then, he was gone.
He was gone. Just like that. In seconds.
